This is the perfect moment to address systemic, anti-Black racism in America and to finally begin the formal process of studying how to redress the historic exploitation of African Americans. Despite statements of solidarity and support for Black lives, 72 White Democrats have yet to co-sponsor HR 40, the bill to establish a commission to study what African Americans are owed, including possible reparations. What are they waiting for?
